Was just about to give this place a 5 - great steak...cooked to perfection... good loaded baked potatoe... good service.. until.. Her friends arrived then my iced tea sat empty for 10 minutes... overall perfect for lunch... definitely will stop again when in town

Callahan's is a good place to take a family for dinner, and the staff is usually friendly. The prices are a little high in my book, but the steaks are always good, and the burgers huge. The fried mushrooms are always very good also. They do not serve alcohol, so do not expect to have a cold one with your kitchen sink burger.

Writing as someone visiting for business in Siloam Springs... this is a fantastic location for dinner or takeout. I just stopped by this evening to pick up a meal before getting to the hotel, and was beyond impressed with the way they do a take out streak! Cooked to perfection, plenty of yummy toppings for the potato and salad, warm bread. I doubt "five star" steak houses are as consistent. Came here a few times for s sit down dinner and it was great! They don't serve alcohol which stinks, but that's not their fault (oh us Texans and desire for a drink at the end of the day!!!) The best part of this place is the friendly staff. Always attentive and kind.

If you're looking for a good steak, this isn't the place. Good service and atmosphere. The steaks just aren't very good.

The food was ok for a local steak house. If I could I would give it a 2.5 but my chicken was so dry. The service was good but the care in presentation of food just did not make a good impression it fell flat.

Eaten here several times and I'm never disappointed. Love the atmosphere and love the staff. The food is great as well. It's a regular stop on many family vacations and business trips. Stopped on 2/14/15 for my wife's birthday and they sang to her and had fun with her. We will be back.

Unremarkable. The highlight of the experience was the happy, friendly hostess. I got the bacon cheese burger. Three perfectly cooked pieces of bacon. The patty was a generous size and had the char I like, but was very dry. Either the pickles or the onions that came on the side smelled fishy. :( The server wasn't unfriendly, just unenthused. Never asked me how I was doing until she handed me my ticket. If this place we're in a larger town with more options it wouldn't last. Better chance that I won't be back than will.

Years ago Callahan's was good, for the money. Tonight we went and nothing delivered to the table showed any pride. Steak was 'chewy' and taste bad. Vegetables didn't taste fresh. Fries were unevenly & UNDER cooked. Worst of all, there was a BONE in my chicken fried steak. It was already a terrible CFS as the batter was so thick and poorly cooked it was 'soggy' next to the meat. I handed the bone, still attached to meat to the "manager". His only response was to offer me a "free desert" [seriously] and say loudly "My cheesecake doesn't have bones! [haha]" I did NOT take the desert and we paid and left. The waitresss NEVER asked us about the food and I don't blame her. This was the last chance for Callahan's for me. It has become completely 'hit & miss' as my wife put it. Today showed they don't care about their product and definitely don't care about customers. LAST money I give them.

Terrible service . Had to get our on flatware. Almost had yo get my on refill. Steaks where not cooked right. Bathroom dirty. First seated us in an area so dimly lite I couldn't read the menu. Prices where that of a great steakhouse, this is something more like self serve.

I've been a Siloamite for the past five years, and hadn't had the chance of getting over to Callahan's till a day ago. Gotta say, I was pretty impressed. Our waitress was able to seat us the moment we walked in the door despite our party size of five. Our drinks got to us in about five minutes upon sitting down, and our food within fifteen minutes. I ordered the fried catfish with a side of grilled green bell peppers and onions. I got two large pieces of catfish that were fried to perfection, and the grilled veggies were pretty good. I say pretty good because by the time they got to the table they weren't quite as hot as I would have liked, more warm than anything. The catfish was nice and hot though, so I wasn't gonna complain. The bread that they bring out before your food gets there is great too. Warm and fresh. Just the way I like it. In all, good service, good food, and good pricing. I'm giving them 4 stars because of the semi cold veggies.

Great place! Had the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries! I wish they would have asked how I wanted my burger cooked because it was a little more red than I like but it was very good!

Wondering if my food will ever arrive. Currently 23 minutes in an empty restaurant. This place is hit and miss at best. Green beans straight from the can. I don't get the appeal at all. Two stars is generous today. In hindsight the server took responsibility for the mess-up & manager comped my meal without me even complaining about the wait. For Siloam Springs, this is not a bad option. Kind of in the genre of a Bonanza or Western Sizzlin', without the food bar.

I was told this was the best place to eat in Silom Springs. The service as people described was very good. Wife ordered a filet medium rare. Steak came rare which she ate the outer part and I at the raw parts. But it was good. Reason for 4 stars. Baked Potato was good too. Ordered the fried mushrooms and these were ok. Typical small town steakhouse, not a bad place to eat.

Food was good, but service was exceptional!! Had a recent dinner there with a party of six on a busy Friday night. Our server (the receipt said Terri W) handled our table and several other crowded tables with ease. She was very accommodating to changes in the orders and was very knowledgable about the menu. She made the experience enjoyable for all! GOOD JOB!

Meh. We were starving after a kayak day-trip, so stopped in for a late lunch. I was the lone vegetarian of our 4-person group, so I didn't expect wonders with the veggie burger, but I was hoping for something more than a frozen, commercial patty. I didn't give them a low rating for that, though; that's not fair in a steakhouse! Ha. But the tomatoes that came with the burger were ... sticky? Were they rotten? I'm not sure because I left them, and the slimy leaf of lettuce, off of my burger. I was PUMPED that they offered sweet potato fries. But they were completely ruined by the weird sauce that was drizzled over them. I *think* it was supposed to taste like that super-sugary sweet potato casserole that some people make for Thanksgiving. Nope. Just leave the sweet potato fry alone! Let it be good at what it does--no need to dessert-ify a fry. Hubby asked for white gravy on his chicken fried steak but got brown. I give two stars instead of only one because the bread was pretty good and the onion appetizer was ok.
